A woman has been tragically stabbed to death at her home in Manchester.
Neighbours said they witnessed the 44-year-old being taken away via air ambulance on Edge Lane, Droylsden, shortly after 12.03pm today.
Emergency services discovered the victim had been stabbed upon their arrival, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
One witness told Manchester Evening News: ‘It’s terrible. You can’t comprehend it. So sad.
‘There was blood everywhere.
‘I saw someone get taken away in the air ambulance.’
Reports from the scene suggested five police cars and a van were present, as well as the helicopter.
A police spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Greater Manchester Police were called to reports of a stabbing at a property in Edge Lane, Droylsden at around 12.03pm today (Friday 2 June 2023).
‘Officers attended the scene and a 44-year-old woman was sadly pronounced dead at the scene at 12.46pm.
‘No arrests have been made at present.
‘A scene is still in place with enquiries continuing.
‘Anyone with information that may help are asked to call 101 quoting incident number 1353 of 02/06/2023.’
